Julian Wooten

​​Julian is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, having earned credentials in Biology, Chemistry, and Nanomedicine. He is the owner and Chief Executive Officer of STENCIL, a Chapel Hill based technology startup. STENCIL is cloud based student information software that provides innovative tools to help teachers more easily manage student attendance, behavior, and course (ABC) data. The platform has the added functionality of comparing student data to preset high school drop out warning signs and administering an alert if a student is at risk of attrition. From his work with STENCIL, Julian brings extensive experience in entrepreneurship, product development, and public relations. He also brings experience in financial sales and administration from a position as a Financial Sales Representative for Suntrust Banks, Inc.

Julian is the Founder of Social Venture Chapel Hill (SVCH), and serves as a Co-Director and the President of External Relations. As a product of the rich culture of entrepreneurship emerging in the Triangle, he is passionate about bringing this event to Chapel Hill to feature the innovative initiatives growing out of UNC-Chapel Hill. With a core philosophy that strong communities are supported by even stronger networks, Julian hopes SVCH will enrich the Triangle business ecosystem. ​

Scott Kleist

Scott Kleist is a recent graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler School of Business and affiliated entrepreneurial program, Launch the Venture. He is a passionate entrepreneur and Co-Founder of a local technology startup called Gift Boogle. Gift Boogle is a social media analytics-driven gift recommendation service that helps givers easily identify and give thoughtful memorable gifts for the people in their lives on the social web.

When Julian Wooten, founder of STENCIL, mentioned the idea of creating a Chapel Hill based networking event, Scott was immediately interested in taking on an active role as Co-Director and President of Sponsorship. He sees Social Venture Chapel Hill as another bridge between universities, students, and the local entrepreneurial community to promote the collaborative environment necessary for Research Triangle Park to become one of the premiere entrepreneurial communities in the United States.
